Community Guidelines

Northern Beaches Social Singles (NBSS.CLUB) is a strictly social, low-pressure community marketplace. We exist so local singles can host and attend real-life events — not to run forced speed-dating or high-pressure dating dynamics.

1. Code of conduct

• Treat everyone with respect. Harassment, unwanted sexual pressure, aggressive dating behaviour, or making members feel unsafe or uncomfortable will result in immediate removal.
• Consent and personal boundaries are non-negotiable — at events and online.
• This is a social environment first. Romantic interest is optional; pressure is not.
• No hate speech, discrimination, or illegal activity of any kind.

2. Anti-poaching (platform integrity)

To protect member privacy and safety, all official NBSS events must be ticketed through the platform.

• Hosts must not solicit members to bypass nbss.club (e.g. moving ticket sales off-platform, private group only events drawn from our member list, or cash-only unofficial meetups organised via our directory).
• Hosts found soliciting members for unsanctioned events that bypass the marketplace will be permanently banned.
• Genuine private friendships formed at events are fine. Systematic redirection of the community off-platform is not.

3. Tickets, hosts & refunds

• NBSS is a marketplace. Ticket funds are processed via Stripe Connect to the host — the platform does not hold ticket money as an escrow bank.
• Refunds are at the sole discretion of the Event Host, subject to Stripe and applicable law. Contact the host first; for serious issues email admin@nbss.club.
• Hosts should communicate cancellations promptly and treat attendees fairly.

4. Profiles & honesty

• Use real photos of yourself. Complete your bio. Profiles are for real people in (or regularly visiting) the Northern Beaches area.
• Accounts are personal — no spam, multi-level marketing, or business solicitation.
• Target community is adults in their roughly 20s–40s; be respectful of the intended vibe.

5. Events

• Show up when you buy a ticket (or cancel in good time if you can't).
• Hosts: list accurate details, fair prices (min $4.99 AUD), and run events safely.
• Scan tickets at the door via the host QR tools when available.

6. Reporting

Use in-app report tools or email admin@nbss.club for safety concerns. We take reports seriously.
