1. Information We Collect
When you use NBSS.CLUB, we collect:
- Account information (email, name, password)
- Profile details you choose to share (bio, interests, suburb, photos, etc.)
- Usage data (events viewed, RSVPs if/when available)
- Technical data (device info, IP for security)
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Platform and community features
- To facilitate real-life connections and events
- To send important updates (event reminders, policy changes)
- To prevent abuse and keep the community safe
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your data. If you opt into the member directory, other signed-in members may see limited profile fields (name, preferred name, photo, suburb, bio, interests, looking-for, occupation, Instagram handle, approximate age from year of birth). Phone number and email are never shown in the directory. You can hide yourself anytime in profile settings.
We may share limited data with service providers (e.g. Supabase for hosting, Resend for email). Event photos may be shared on our Instagram (@nbss.club) with consent.
You can block or report members from the directory. Reports are reviewed by community admins. Contact admin@nbss.club for urgent safety issues.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard security practices. However, as this is a beta project, no system is 100% secure. Please use strong passwords and be mindful of what you share.
5. Your Rights
You can:
- Update or delete your profile at any time
- Request deletion of your account by contacting us
- Opt out of non-essential communications
6. Beta Nature
During beta testing, data handling practices may evolve. We will notify users of significant changes.
7. Children's Privacy
This Platform is for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
